It's obviously the brain of car transmission. It is a Part of the valve assembly containing plungers, pistons, springs, etc (all those little parts and components are disassembled and taken away and apparently are not in the picture). Valve BODY basically controls all GEAR SHIFTING when you drive. It kind-of feels when the car needs to shift up or when to shift down (in an automatic transmission of course!)
